LFG Construction obtained the contract for the community wind farm La Mitis, located in the unorganized territory of Lac-à-la Croix in the MRC de la Mitis, administrative region of the Bas St-Laurent.
The 24.6 MW wind farm consisted of 12 turbines with a capacity of 2.05 MW each to supply power to 3,350 homes.
The work consisted mainly in 9 km of road construction, constructionof 12 concrete foundations and erection of 12 wind turbines.
The construction of a 19 km collector network and the modification of the existing substation was also required to receive the additional 24.6 MW provided.
